Ben Zhou, Co-Founder of Bybit, shares his journey and the vision behind one of the fastest-growing crypto exchanges.
Originally from China, Ben Zhou grew up in New Zealand, then moved to the United States. He graduated with a degree in Economics. Before founding Bybit he was in the Forex world.
In this conversation with podcast host Andres Meneses, Bybit’s co-founder talked, among other things, about the advertising synergy with Formula 1 and Red Bull.
On the other hand, regarding the exchange, he said: “Bybit is quite global”. And he explained that they try to design products the way customers like them locally. But their twist is following trends.
On the other hand, he referred to the importance of the Bybit card. He stated that it is very important the Bybit card because cryptocurrencies are not for gamblers.
“If you look at a country like Argentina, where the currency has fallen a lot, people use an exchange like Bybit to replace fiat currency. When they do that, they are not trading, but it is a way to seek a haven of value,” he explained.
